Nothing like a beautiful love song to start the year! Wishing you and yours infinite love, compassion, joy and unlimited heartfelt presence for 2015 and beyond…
Just like a star across my sky
Just like an angel off the page
You have appeared to my life
Feel like I’ll never be the same
Just like a song in my heart
Just like oil on my hands
Honoured to love you
– Corinne Bailey Rae
This is perfect for a “I’m going on 10-day solitary retreat in two sleeps!” soundtrack. I couldn’t embed the official video version of this song (the dancing is AMAZING) but I think you should check out both versions.
Even to a committed optimist + patient yogini, it sure doesn’t feel like summer in Vancouver these days! Something does not compute between late June and lingering clouds, flash downpours + sinus colds. I feel reluctant to change my Label “summer” so maybe I’ll just love more and watch this pass.
I’ve been loving me some Hindi Zahra lately. She’s so soul-full + sexy…and can’t we always use a little extra soul-full + sexy? This is a great live rendition of her amazing song, Beautiful Tango.
This live performance with Adele gives me the chills.
I’ve been listening to this song a lot lately because it does something to my heart + my inner winds. It conjures up memories of past love and that eery feeling of voidness that comes after separation. Even though I don’t have a particular idea of someone or something I’m trying to replace in my life like Adele does in this song, I do have this curious edge in my heart that gets rubbed when I realize there is distance where there was once a significant connection. It’s a strong reminder of how things are always changing whether or not I notice it in the process.
Here’s to dear, loved Ones in the past, present and future.
